Smiling Kids
Brand Identity, User Interface (UI), and User Experience (UX) design

Smiling Kids is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing good quality of life to underprivileged kids. Smiling Kids started during the economic downturn of 2008/2009 when the founders realized that  some life events are beyond anyone's control. They believed that things like economic cycles, country of birth, natural catastrophes, and even one's parents, should not determine the future of any kid. With a good ecosystem, Smiling Kids now provide help to these kids in three areas - education, safety, and health. With expansion in multiple countries, Smiling Kids needed a new brand identity that would align with their values and aspirations.

We started by creating a logotype that would represent the youthful energy, guardianship, and growth. We selected an energetic serif logotype with slightly customized letters. The brand palette was priamirily black and white with a hint of playful yellow. The identity also includes an animated logo which adds additional punch and youthfulness to the brand.

The identity was applied consistently to both the online presence and the office spaces including stationary, campaign posters, and corporate imagery. The website was fully re-imagined to carry the new identity and enhance the user experience. A new mobile app was developed in addition to the responsive website to enable easy registration and reminders to the volunteers.
